How you can help
Michael Joseph Quatkemeyer, age 64, passed away peacefully in his sleep of natural causes on January 9, 2024. Michael was born July 23, 1959 and lived in Mt. Healthy until his marriage in 1984.
He graduated from LaSalle High School in 1977 and began his career as a meat cutter at the Butcher Shoppe on Compton Rd. as well as at Lafary's IGA Stores. He went on to excel in the maintenance field and later in construction with HCG/Stanton Millworks.
His passion through the years has always been wood-crafting and creating one-of-a-kind designs that are still showcased in the homes of his friends and family.
Michael leaves behind his beloved wife of 39 years, DeAnna, daughter Eve Marie, brothers Jim and Don, sister Judy and sister-in-law Lynne. He was preceded in death by his brother Tom, and his parents, James and Frieda Quatkemeyer. He is also survived by his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, as well as other family members.
Michael had a great passion for all things sports, including NASCAR, golf, and never missing a Bengals game. He deeply loved his family and friends, always there to help anyone and everyone in need. He was one of a kind and will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure or privilege to meet him.
