Many of you most likely knew my dad, Michael Phillip Peterson. My grandpa Allan was gifted his son back for his birthday, and my dad was able to reunite with his parents after 59 precious years. At 2:30pm 10/23/2021 inside of the Cape Corals hospital icu room he turned the page.

He left behind his first and only Grandson, 2 daughters Katelynn (Me) and Sarah, and his brother and sister and his best friend/ mother of his children dawn.

He always firmly believed in the power of prayer, and as a family we always kept hope and remained optimistic. Little did we know, he wasn’t honest entirely about his health. It was only worsening throughout the year, so that really took us all by surprise when we had to make one of the hardest decisions in our lives; ending his pain and comforting him his final hours. We never knew he had to unexpectedly leave us within a blink of an eye, we still can’t although we know it’s true. He truly was incredible. He made everyone he knew laugh, even those he didn’t. He was a goofball, but had the most genuine hearts made of gold. He would not only give his shirt off his back to a complete stranger if he could, but he was the guy that always did all through his life. Just not his steeler’s clothes, he was always protective over his Steelers team lol.

He met a lot of incredible people along his road to recovery, and thankfully gotten closer to god and his family because of that. Fortunately his family was able to bring him back to town for his last couple of months he had left. His memory will live forever with us .

So let’s all “Come together” like the Beatles song, and rock out to his favorite songs as we all gather to celebrate the amazing memories and share them together.

Im not too familiar with funeral/memorial costs personally, but like I said this is just to be able to cover the expenses it would cost to have a huge gathering in his honor.
