Michael John Petracco III, 64, of China Grove, NC, died on April 6, 2022, in the comfort of his home. Born in Elizabeth, NJ on July 18, 1957, Michael resided in Point Pleasant, NJ with his family for many years until relocating to Port Charlotte, FL. A 1975 graduate of Brick Township High School, Michael was an avid hockey and football player. He was well known for his warm spirit and strong work ethic.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Ruth Petracco of China Grove, NC, and his children Mickey (Nikki) Petracco of China Grove, NC, and Vincent (Jillian) Petracco of Point Pleasant, NJ. Forever remembered as a very proud “Pop” to his cherished grandchildren Aurora, Colton, Loki, and Graycen.

He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Sophie Petracco, father-in-law and mother-in-law Vincent and Helen Miller, and his sister Angela Schipani.

Michael’s passion for boating and fishing provided many life lessons and memories for his family. His legacy will continue to live on through his sons and grandchildren.

“As the sun sets across the water, we take in the parting view. Our buckets filled with memories and perhaps a fish or two.”
