Update from March 3, 2023

Friends and fam: we're so glad you're joining us to celebrate our beloved Mikey. We'd love for you to share your favorite stories about him with each other throughout the event. While we all miss him tremendously, we want to honor the joy he found in life and celebrate him with smiles. A short program will begin at 4pm concluding with military honors at 4:30pm. We kindly request adults only outside of immediate family.

Snacks and beverages will be served throughout, from 2 - 6pm. Vegetarian options are available. Alcohol will not be served.

To park at the venue enter the lot from D St. between Main St. and Mission Blvd. A covered parking garage is also available next door to the library, off Mission Blvd.

Our beloved Mike Parkins - husband, father, brother, and grandfather - passed away on December 13, 2022 at the age of 64. While the cause of death is unknown, we believe it was very quick and that he did not suffer.

Mike spent most of his life in the San Francisco Bay Area cities of Hayward, Castro Valley, San Leandro, and San Lorenzo. He graduated from San Lorenzo High School in 1976 and enlisted in …
