Background
Mike had many interests but these 3 charities were close to his heart and why we choose them. I have the description for why we choose each charity:
Fanciful Farms: Mike's cousin opened this farm to rescue farm animals who need to recover from abuse and malnutrition. He was so proud of his cousin and loved hearing the stories of the animals and how far they come after the work they do with them. He loved visiting the farm with his family.
Family Literacy Center: Reading was a big part of Mike's life, he told the story how he would run away from home to the Homer Library. Reading was a huge part of his life including his career. He supported this center that gives back to the community he loves and helps many read and improve their life.
Tunnel to Towers: Mike's Dad, Hearl Spradlin, was a WWII Veteran, which prompted his love for all things history, specifically WWII. Veteran causes were very close to his heart and this was an organization he personally contributed to each year. Contribute to Family Literacy Center
