Background
Michael was deeply concerned about the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. His mother Gitta, a Holocaust survivor from Czechoslovakia, spent her early years as a refugee. Michael identified with the Ukrainian migrants and supported the World Central Kitchen, Ukraine when he could.
