Michael Norman Johnson Obituary
Michael Norman Johnson, 75, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed peacefully within the comfort of his family on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Born in Harrisburg, Michael was a talented and retired chef, known for his distinct style and passion for life. A true enthusiast of jazz music, he carried himself with an effortless coolness and was always impeccably dressed. He embraced life's simple pleasures, often enjoying a "natty daddy and fireball."
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Joan V. Primm; his father, Wayne Penn; his stepfather, Ralph E. Primm; and his brother, Gary Johnson.
He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, including his sisters: Carol Sue Jones, Diane Primm, Joanne Primm, and Linda Penn-White.
Michael was a proud father to his children: Dorita (James Hurdle) Payne, Kelly Mills, Mikal Mills, and Aqueelah (Eric) Clarke.
His legacy continues through his many grandchildren: Shakia (Christopher) Crumbie, Akai Rosario, Evian and Larrian Payne, Delicia Mills, Shaleia Mills, Lequan Mills, Oveanah and Shadae Mills, Ladarius Mills, Mikayla Mills, Omillio Mills, Ayala Mills, Phasagejah Clarke, Syakhiah Clarke, Khyleed Clarke, and Nyeim Clarke.
He was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren: Akai Jr., Kaishaun, Ky'seir, Melitah, Mirah, Masai, Samari, MarQuice, Miloni, Ramya, Syarayiah, Versaé, A'asyiah, Zaylin, Indie, Kahseem, Kamiyah, SyAire, and Kali, along with a host of family members and friends.
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of a funeral service, a celebration of Michael's life will be held for family and close friends to honor his memory.
