My birthday, Mike’s birthday! I will always remember my cousin, my brother!

Our birthdays are the same day so I always celebrate Mike on that day! Of course Mark is my other brother so when I think of Mark, which is often, I think of Mike as well, and Gordo!

I leaned that we could be good friends even though we were on opposite sides of the political spetrum. I also realized that there is always something new to learn as Palms had a beautifully inquisitive mind.

Thank you to the entire Palmer family for sharing this incredible person with so many of us. I was blessed to have Mr. Palmer as a math and computer science teacher over the years at Wilmot Union High School. It was because of him that I later became a math teacher myself, eventually serving the students in his hometown (@ Reek Elementary). One of his sons, Alex, eventually became a school board member during that time as well. His ability to tell stories and engage all of us as students, his colleagues, and friends was unparalleled. Bottom line, Mr. Palmer, thanks for all you did for me and so many others! May your legacy carry-on in all those people's lives that you have touched.

Todd and I were so sorry to hear about Mike. He was a wonderful, funny and supportive colleague at Wilmot!

Mr. Palmer was my favorite teacher at Wilmot! He was supportive and funny, and actually helped me understand math and computer science (better -- these were not my best subjects!). He was a great guy and put up with a lot from me. I was a handful in high school!!

Mike Palmer was my Math/Computer Science teacher and then my mentor when I returned to teach Math at Wilmot. He was the BEST! He was always there for me, especially at the beginning of my career with just the right amount of encouragement, wit and a great story. I am so grateful to be able to call him a friend and that I was able to learn from and teach with the legend that is the Palms. To his family, my thoughts are with you and know how much joy and amazement you brought him. He loved you all so much. To the Wilmot family just remember “the early Berg gets the worm”. I love you Mike, you will be missed.

To the wonderful family of a larger than life man, Mike Palmer.
As a fellow teacher at Wilmot High School, I have nothing but bigger than life memories of Mike. He was a friend to all of us. His distinctive humor was extremely extraordinary. And coming from a reserved math teacher. Who would have known. He was, in his own way, the backbone for the faculty. Mike will be missed, but our memories of Mike will never diminish. He touched all of us in his unique way.
To those who are left behind, I’m sure your memories are far greater than ours. You must have nothing but great memories, filled with nothing but memories that bring smiles and laughter. Mike left you with not grief, but a feeling that he is still up to something special. Without doubt Mike cared for and loves everyone of you, and if you look around, you’ll find something he left.
That’s Mike.
Libby, you will become a saint. 53 years of being with Mike has been a journey. Only the one who loved him as much as you did could endured. He was the luckiest guy to have you as his pillar in his life. He will never leave the love of his life.
Mike, I’m watching for the next issue of the “Backstabber”. It will be a great one.

Mike and I were fast friends through grade school and high school. I always felt like I was going home when I visited Mike. It's hard to think of him being gone.

As a former Wilmot student who later worked with Mr. Palmer's son, I have the fondest memories of a wonderful teacher and a very kind person. My deepest sympathies to the family - he really was one of a kind!

I have known Mike my entire life. He and the whole Palmer family have been wonderful friends to the Kronwall family. I’ll miss him. God bless the Palmer family. David Kronwall

I remember a board meeting where people were discussing a referendum to raise money for (I think ) Big Foot High School. Mike brought a tattered Big Foot letterman's jacket and explained that he still wore his jacket because he didn't believe in getting rid of good stuff, but even HE thought we should spend the money for the addition.
I loved his Zenda stories. I learned a lot about the antics he and my brothers were involved in that my parents, luckily for them, never know about.

There is truly a huge void in life without Palms among us.
