It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael "Mike" Kilgore, lovingly known as Michael, who left us peacefully on February 7, 2026. Born on December 3, 1956, Michael lived a fulfilled life characterized by his love for music, art, and the written word. His affinity for soul music bore testimony to his impeccable taste, and he could often be found mesmerizing friends and family with his remarkable Bass Guitar performances. Michael also had an exceptional talent for drawing, a pastime he relished in his relaxed moments.A man of simple pleasures, Michael favored the refreshing taste of Pepsi and found solace in his personal journaling. His life was a living testament to his "Ear For Great Music," which arguably defined his keen sense for the finer things in life. Michael is survived by his son, Tyrone(Turhan) Taylor, whom he lovingly fathered with Martha ( Turhan Mother).His legacy continues to grow with his adored daughter-in-law LaShawna Taylor &  Grandchildren Tai'Yonne Taylor, Ty'Asia Taylor (Passed Away 10/07/0/2008),TaiLeeyah Taylor, Kateanna Debro, and Katelana Debro & Great Grandkids Malakai & Za'Maya. His enduring love and wisdom also remain with his brother, Khalil Rashidi & Girlfriend Dawn Alderton. Michael is now reunited with his beloved parents, Tom Kilgore and Jeannie Bowden-Kilgore, both of whom preceded him in death. As we grieve the departure of our dear Michael, we choose to celebrate his remarkable life and the indelible marks he's left on each of our hearts. His memory lives on in the melodies of the great music he loved, the exquisite sketches he created, and the heartfelt words he penned down in his cherished journals.
