It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Michael Johnson Jr., a beloved brother, nephew, and friend, on January 23, 2025. Born on October 23, 1990, Michael was a man of great strength and determination, combined with a unique sense of humour and a love for the unpredictable. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled.
Michael is survived by his siblings - sisters Mercedes Johnson, Julianne Bickel, Sarah Johnson, Tarah Johnson, and his brothers Nick Steeno, Connor Johnson, Corbin Hannah, and Christopher Burmeister. His Aunt, Julie Kratz also remains. Our hearts ache for them and all who knew Michael. He was predeceased by his loving mother, Susan Johnson - a bond that was strong and everlasting & his father, Michael Joseph Johnson Sr.
A loyal fan of Ohio State Buckeyes, Michael had an enduring love for sports. His competitive spirit was also evident in his love for games; Madden & Call of Duty were among his favorites. Michael also had a keen passion for driving, enjoying the sense of freedom and exploration it offered.
Embodying a vibrant color fitting of his personality, Michael's favorite color was red. Described by those who knew him best as stubborn, funny, random, and outgoing, his character was one that couldn't be ignored. His endearing quirks and good humor will forever be remembered fondly, bringing smiles to our faces even in his absence.
Among his notable achievements was his impressive career span, having retained the same job for over 15 years - a testament to his unwavering commitment and dedication. Michael's journey and accomplishments serve as an inspiration to us all and will be celebrated long after his departure.
