Michael's obituary
Michael Joseph Jarmusz, 53, of Jefferson City, Tennessee passed into the gates of heaven surrounded by loved ones in his home on Tuesday September 14th, 2021.
Michael was born on August 9th, 1968 to Joseph and Ann Jarmusz in Buffalo, NY where he spent his childhood. As a teenager, Michael moved to Tennessee where he graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1987. It was there, he met his beloved, Brenda and the high school sweethearts were wed on November 6th, 1987. Together they raised three children.
Growing up, Mike, as he was affectionately known by many, was a dedicated Eagle Scout who enjoyed camping and the outdoors. He spent the majority of his life as General Manager of various restaurants in both Tennessee and Ohio. Mike had a love for movies, painting, Astronomy, and playing games of any kind. In recent years, he enjoyed playing Pokémon Go with family and several friends that he met throughout the Pokémon community. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids, kids and loving wife, whom he adored.
Michael is survived by: his Father, Joseph (Mary) Jarmusz of Morristown, TN, his wife, Brenda Jarmusz of Jefferson City, TN, sons Patrick (Tiffani) Jarmusz of West Jefferson, OH, Justin (Jennifer) Jarmusz of Norfolk, VA, daughter, Laura (Kenaniah) Rush of Jefferson City, TN, grandchildren, Michael, Xavier, Payton, Malachi, Preston, Makayla and Breanna, children adopted by heart, Vanvert (Clifford) Almore of Columbus, OH and Tianna Sharon of Shelby, OH, mother-in-law, Betty-Jo Hullick of Jefferson City, TN, sisters Diane Weeks of Tonawanda, NY, Joanne (Mary) Jarmusz of New Market, TN, Donna (Jeff) Maxwell of Hilliard, OH, brother, Tony (Bobbi) Jarmusz of Jefferson City, TN, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Jarmusz and infant grandchildren, K.J., Tobin and Jayden.
A memorial service will be held at Jefferson City Christian Church, 1439 Hicks Rd, Jefferson City, TN 37760 on Saturday, September 18th. The family will be receiving friends at 2:00 pm and the service will begin at 3:00 pm with a fellowship to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist in final expenses.
Mike had a heart of gold and a larger-than-life personality. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
