• What is your mission?

  Samaritan's mission is to provide extraordinary compassion and professional expertise to help our patients, clients, and those who care about them, live their best life every day. Samaritan strives to be the region’s preferred provider of life-enhancing care and lead the advancement of coordinated, person-centered care with extraordinary compassion and expertise.

• How are donations used?

  Donations to Samaritan allow Samaritan to provide services to people who might not otherwise have access to them. Donations also fund additional programs to enhance quality of life for those at the end of life. Such contributions offer the gift of comfort, support, and dignity.

• What progress has been made already thanks to your donors?

  Samaritan reinvests in our community by providing close to $1 million annually in non-reimbursed care thanks to the generosity of our donors. Samaritan offers many charitable giving opportunities to support our mission of service.

• What is the history of your organization?

  Samaritan, founded in 1980 by grassroots volunteers, is South Jersey’s first – and largest – hospice organization. Forty-one years ago in a house in Moorestown, NJ, a half dozen dedicated humanitarians convened with passion in their hearts and a hefty goal to bring comfort at the end of life to all the members of this community.
