It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our son Michael Harsher, born on March 26, 1985, who left us all too soon on May 17, 2024. A beloved son, brother, and friend, Michael touched countless lives with his kindness, his laughter, and his passion for teaching.

Michael is survived by his loving parents, Patricia and Larry Harsher, of Canton, Ohio, two brothers Matthew Harsher of Troy, Ohio, Jason Gatschet of Akron, Ohio , and one sister  Staci Gatschet of Alliance Ohio . He was predeceased by his cherished grandparents, Betty and Floyd Ferris of Canton Ohio, and Stella and Alexander Harsher of Canton Ohio.

From a young age, Michael exhibited an eagerness for knowledge. He graduated from Saint Joseph  Catholic School June 3, 1999, and later from McKinley Senior High School in 2003. He followed his interest in education by starting a job at Little Learning Frogs in Hong Kong on August 23, 2011, where he devoted his time to nurturing the young minds of his students, forming bonds that remained strong until his passing.

A man of unwavering kindness and caring, Michael had a unique ability to light up a room and make people laugh. He lived by the credo of never stopping learning and always keeping an open mind, lessons he imparted to all who knew him. His legacy, marked by his loving nature and his impact on the lives of his students, will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Michael's life, though tragically short, was filled with love, laughter, and countless moments of inspiration. He will be remembered fondly and deeply missed by all.
