Michael's obituary
Michael Harris of Montgomery, AL, passed away on May 2, 2024, at the age of 55. He was born on October 19, 1968, to his loving parents, Ruth Cantey and the late Grady Harris. Michael was a cherished father, son, partner, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many with his outgoing and funny personality.
Michael had a passion for life that was infectious, and he made friends everywhere he went. He had a deep love for Alabama Football, Dallas Cowboys Football, and NASCAR. His hobbies included singing, dancing, and enjoying the beauty of the mountains.
In addition to his mother, Ruth Cantey, Michael is survived by his significant other, Char Decino, his daughters Brandy Pugh (Tyler) and Brittany Fowler (Justin), his son Andrew Harris, his seven grandchildren Rhett Pugh, Jenna Fowler, Josie Fowler, Jade Fowler, Skyler Harris, Madison Harris, and Peyton Harris, as well as his brothers Tommy Harris and Jimmy Harris.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Grady Harris, and his brother, Buddy Harris. Although he is no longer with us, Michael's spirit and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army and his dedication to his military service was a testament to his strong sense of duty and honor.
A celebration of Michael's life will take place at a later date to honor the legacy he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and love.
