Michael George Lee, age 55, passed peacefully with family by his side on September 11th, 2020.

Mike was born July 23, 1965 to the late George W. Lee and Kathleen A. (Pace) Lee. Mike attended Abraham Lincoln High School in 1983. He excelled in track and cross country and he still holds the record for the 2 mile in both nearly 40 years later. He went on to study Psychology and Sociology at Northwest Missouri State University in 1988. Mike was a jokester and enjoyed making people laugh. Mike had several jobs that made him well known around Council Bluffs, including being General Manager at Sherbondy’s. Mike was blessed with two children, Devon and Kristina.
Mike loved 3 things; running, fishing, and Jesus. Mike tragically lost a leg to a hunting accident in 2010. Mike said “I just want to run.” Some may fly with angels, but we know Mike would prefer to run with them. His family takes comfort knowing he can run again.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Lee; father, George Lee; and brother, Mark Lee.

Mike is survived by son, Devon and Jennifer Lee; daughter, Kristina Lee; grandsons, Alexander Lee and Porter Lee; granddaughters, Liberty Lee and Esther Lee; brother Matthew Lee; sisters Lisa (Lee) and Mark Overlie, Lynnette (Lee) and David Bayer, and Mary Lee; as well as countless cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. Mike wished to be cremated and to have his remains spread in water. A small ceremony to be determined.
