Michael F. Campbell

Michael Francis Campbell, 65, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on Dec. 24, 2023, of natural causes. He was born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, and lived in many places he called home, including Lake in the Hills, Round Lake Beach and Springfield, Illinois. Recently retired, he spent most of his career in sales, finance and management positions at car dealerships – earning the distinction of a five-star general manager. For the past several years he was a long-haul truck driver, treasuring the opportunity to explore the country from coast to coast.

He was his parents’ eldest son and is survived by his seven children, 12 grandchildren, a brother and a sister. He was an avid golfer and a fan of NASCAR and the Chicago Bears. A blues and classic rock lover, he played harmonica and guitar, recently challenging himself to learn electric guitar. He often said, “life is a badge of honor worn graciously until the very end.”

He was laid to rest, near the resting places of his mother and two brothers, at Eternal Hills in Oceanside, California.
