I never met Doris or their children, but my sincere, heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Farinacci family, especially to Eda as I know the deep sadness in losing a wonderful brother too early in life.
Being a classmate of Eda’s (and a fellow Italian), I spent quite a bit of time in the Farinacci household in Ohio amongst all the brothers. But Michael stood out to me as the quiet one, the kind one, the introspective one.
After the family moved from Ohio to California, I kept in touch with Eda, never really expecting to see any of her brothers. But I was fortunate enough to visit CA again in 2012. Michael wanted to cook for me and Eda, and what a special experience that was! His sauce is to die for and he even gave me his recipes for Marinara Sauce and Alio Olio Sauce. Not only was the lunch fabulous, but Michael’s personality and his penchant for good, meaningful conversation made the afternoon a memory I will never forget.

I was just bragging about how Mike taught me how to make pizzas the correct way in the brick oven. I was remembering the way he showed me to prep the dough with an exact weight and then how to get the perfect crust by rounding the dough with hands and knuckles only no rolling pins, lol
Mike was an awesome chef and always happy to share his love of cooking with me
So many good times go through my mind not just cooking but riding motorcycle on the coast to eating different breakfast places and learning motorcycle hand and foot signals the day before we were going on our first ride together
Lol,, he reminded me a few times to be sure I was topped off before meeting up so not to waste time gassing up instead of getting the bikes on the road
To this day I still drink red wine because of the coaching and teaching of both Mike and Dave K they wanted me to expand from my Jack n Coke.
Thank you all for sharing Mike with me and the good times

Doris, Our hearts are broken. I have so many wonderful memories of Michael that I'll forever hold dear. Lots of good times and laughter through the years! Pizza parties, dinners at your beautiful table and least not forget "the bone" I don't think I've ever laughed harder in my life!! I feel very lucky and honored to call Michael my friend.

Doris, Allie and Dante,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have hired hundreds of people during my career, but Nooch was one of the first and best as a Resident Advisor at Halloran. He was a natural leader who everybody loved and respected. He was also an entrepreneur at 19 with his foosball and pinball machines in the residence halls at OSU. He was making serious money as a student as well as getting room and board as an RA! He made gallons of spaghetti sauce in my apartment in Barrett House and he, John McComb and I drank quite a few Stroh’s back in the day. Some of my fondest memories are of those years, and he is a big reason why. I talked with him before Christmas and it was always so clear how much he loved you. I will miss him.

Doris, Alexandra, and Dante: I wish there was something anyone of us could say to remove the loss and pain. The Circle of Life.
I can only say what you know, Nooch was a beautiful person. I loved him for most of my life. He taught me much. Let's start the celebration of Life. This is a picture from 1976 at an Ohio State Staff costume party. Nooch is the Godfather, I am Sonny - cousin Dante is Michael. Dan Phelan is Groucho behind Nooch. We ruled Ohio State!
