Mike and I were good friends and worked together driving truck in the oil fields around Montezuma creek when we all lived in Bluff, Utah. Mike always would offer me a soda pop or a snack when we ran across each other while working. Our families would hang out together at times. Mike got along with everyone. Mike was a very generous man. Mike was a very good man.
I am so glad I was blessed with getting to meet Mike through his beautiful wife ( who I have the joy of saying is one of my best friends since the 6th grade) Renee and the entire family I am praying that God gives you all strength as you navigate this difficult time. Love and hugs sent in abundance.
Didn't know Mr. Drollinger, but I know his son Kenneth, and I know he was a good man to have raised him. Sending hugs and prayers to the Drollinger family.
I know Mr. Drollinger's daughter, Nevada. I'm of the opinion that children are, first and foremost, shaped by the experiences in their lives, and parents are the first and best people to work with the material provided.
By that measure, Mr. Drollinger was a wildly successful and enormously admirable gentleman, in the best sense of the word; a kind person and a gentle person. She attributes many of her best traits to his influence, from her perspective on things (influenced by at best, and in response to at worst, which doesn't seem to have been often), to her interests in things like Star Trek and other geeky elements. I think the world of Nevada, so I can only imagine what Mr. Drollinger was like to have had such a lasting positive influence on her. I wish I'd had an opportunity to know such a quality individual.
The world is lesser when folks like him aren't with us. My love to the family.
