Michael's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Scott Dorman, a devoted husband, loving father, faithful servant of God, United States Marine Corps veteran, and respected businessman. Michael passed away on October 22, 2025. Born on July 17, 1963, he lived a life firmly rooted in faith, purpose, and service to God and country.

Michael was a deeply godly man whose life reflected his unwavering devotion to the Lord. His greatest gift was his ability to encourage, minister, and speak truth into the lives of others. Though naturally reserved, Michael worked faithfully for God, driven by a clear sense of mission and calling. With wisdom, conviction, and boldness, he ministered to those around him, living out his faith daily through both word and action.

A genuine and principled man, Michael was not only a highly successful businessman, but also a man who viewed his work as part of his mission for God. He was skilled, disciplined, and diligent, and he recognized his success as a blessing entrusted to him by the Lord. With a generous heart, he used what God provided to bless others and to provide abundantly for his family. His life was marked by generosity, integrity, and a passionate, steadfast spirit devoted to honoring God.

Michael proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that shaped his character, discipline, and lifelong commitment to service. The values he carried from his military service were evident throughout his life, in his faith, his work, and his devotion to family.

Michael was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, May Dorman, with whom he shared a strong and faithful marriage built on love and commitment. He was a proud father to his son, Michael S. Dorman, and his legacy of faith, strength, and devotion will continue through him.

Michael’s character, work ethic, and devotion were deeply influenced by his father, Harold V. Dorman, who predeceased him. He is survived by his mother, Linda S. Dorman, who remained an important part of his life. He was also a beloved brother to his sisters, Cheryl Murd and Laura Leone, sharing cherished memories.

Michael made a lasting impact through his faith, service, generosity, and dedication to God and family. The family sincerely appreciates your prayers and support during this difficult time. Michael’s life stands as a testimony of faith lived with purpose, and his memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
