Very few people can excel in all the fields Mike did; as a railroad telegrapher at stations all over the State of Washington, later a train dispatcher at Tacoma, a city Mayor and Councilman, and a schoolteacher and Principal. Through all of it Mike was just a "plain old nice guy" who never forgot any of his friends and didn't hesitate to make new friends and lend a helping hand to anybody in need. Have known Mike and considered him a good friend ever since our railroad days beginning in 1960. Wow that's 65 years. I'll miss you, and am sorry to see you go, old friend, Rest in Peace and thanks for all the wonderful memories.
