Michael Ezelle Courtney, was born on March 26, 1956, in Glendale, Arizona, and passed from this life on February 10, 2021, at the age of 64 years, 10 months and 15 days, in Leander, Texas. He was the oldest son of Rev. Ed and Sharon Courtney. Mike accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior as a youth in Delano, California.

Mike was in the U. S. Army for a short time as a cook but was released for medical reasons a short time later. Mike was the lead machinist for Don Mashburn, Inc., in Broussard, Louisiana, for many years.

He is survived by his three children: Amanda Courtney of Abilene, Texas; Andy Courtney of Breckenridge, Texas; Josh Courtney of Abilene, Texas. He is survived by his father, Rev. Ed Courtney of Cedar Park, Texas; and by his 2 brothers, Tony Courtney and Brad Courtney of Leander, Texas; and by his sister, Cheryl Love of Cedar Park, Texas. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his sweet wife, Christi Lewing Courtney, by only 2 weeks. He was also predeceased by his mother, Sharon Courtney; his brother, Ron Courtney; and his baby sister, Kim Courtney.
