Michael's obituary
Michael Sean Chappell, a cherished soul known for his adventurous spirit and loving nature, passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 27. Born on June 11, 1996, Michael lived a life full of passion and enthusiasm for his many interests. His devotion was evident as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he found inspiration and community.
A true sneakerhead, Michael's passion for shoes and clothes was paralleled by his love for cars, particularly his beloved Mustang. An avid sports fan, he cheered wholeheartedly for his favorite teams the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Anaheim Angels. One of Michael’s greatest memories was being able to attend a Steelers playoff game in Pittsburg in sub-zero temperatures with his dad. He even managed to persuade his twin sisters to join the Steelers Nation. Skateboarding gave Michael a sense of freedom and joy, an activity he frequently enjoyed.
Above all, the time Michael spent with his brothers and sisters was precious to him. He reveled in the playful moments, cherishing each laugh and every bout of roughhousing. His love for sneakers will live on through his younger brothers who enjoyed spending time with Mike learning about shoes. Michael's adventurous and loving legacy will be carried in the hearts of those who knew him, as he leaves behind a constellation of beautiful memories.
Michael is survived by his loving parents, Dave and Heather Chappell; siblings, Caleb Chappell, Avery Chappell, Addison Chappell, Beckham Chappell, Emily Chappell and James Valadez; grandparents, Rocco and Kayleen Marzzarella, and Garth and Laurie Hutchings; as well as beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
