Michael (Mike) Ernest Celendano, 81 of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday April 7th. He will be dearly missed and always remembered by his family and those that knew him. May he rest in Peace.

Mike was a resident of the state he loved the most, Florida. Being a sportsman, he was happiest outdoors, on the water, or in the woods enjoying his surroundings. He loved horses too, and had raised many competitive horses for various types of competitions, with several accolades along the way.

Mike was an avid cook too. He enjoyed preparing seafood in so many ways. It was not unlike him to try new recipes on a regular basis, always looking for perfection in preparing a day’s catch.

Mike is predeceased by his father and mother, Michael Paul Celendano, and Sylvia Celendano.

He is survived by his two children, daughter Christine (Celendano) Marchitto and son Robert Celendano, daughter-in-law Catherine Celendano, and Mike’s two grandchildren Taylor Colgan and Jennifer Carmichael. He is and will always be a part of their lives.
