Michael's obituary
He was born in Jacksonville, FL., September 28, 1987. Michael graduated from Clay County Adult Education Center and received his GED.
He worked as a Tower Top Hand with his best friend whom he considered a brother, Leon Jones over the years. He loved to play and write music while listening to Jimi Hendrix or Janis Joplin as he was an old soul. He was a very outgoing, loving, and fun person. He was very in tune with his emotions and always showed love to his family and friends. None more than his children though. He loved to see his Daughter; Lily compete in cheerleading competitions. They loved going to the creek to take pictures together as they were both photogenic. He loved to watch his son, Little Michael playing in the yard and getting dirty with his monster trucks.
He always said and lived by, “Family First”. Some of his fondest memories he liked to talk about were going to Florida Gator football games and skipping school with his brother to go fishing or goofing around with his sisters and great friend, Brandy Green (Walker). He also had a soft side and would read poems to his little sisters that he wrote himself and would talk about how he was a caterpillar that would one day turn into a butterfly and fly far away. When he got his first job he would take his siblings to buy school clothes and spoil them as much as he could.
He is survived by parents, Lori Gleason (Mother), Richard Gleason (Stepfather), Michael Willis Brooks Sr. (Father), Linda Brooks (Stepmother), Siblings James Lowe (Age 30), Christina Lowe (Age 26), Sydney Brooks (Age 24), and Stephanie Brooks (Age 18). Fiance, Cynthia Hagey. Children, Lily Ann Brooks (Age 13), and Michael Willis Brooks III -Little Michael (Age 5).
