Mike was passionate about biking. He loved bikes and spent many hours on a bike as his sole mode for transportation for many, many years. Mike loved to ride his bike on Lake Shore Drive, and rode bikes to and from work daily in Chicago and Kansas City until 2021 when his workplace required him to buy "Silvio" his Toyota Tacoma.
Many of his memories as a kid were on bikes with friends.
This donation will help to provide kids and youth in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs with bicycles.
"Working Bikes gives donated bicycles new life by redistributing them as tools of empowerment in local and global communities. Since its inception in 1999, the amazing community of Working Bikes volunteers, staff, partners, and supporters have enabled new life for 100,000 bicycles across the globe and tens of thousands here in Chicago."
