Mike’s infectious smile will be missed by many. Til we meet again my friend 🍻

💛 Marci Coppes

Our love and prayers go out to Jay, Amy and Mike's entire family and friends.
I met Mike in the late 1990s, working at McDaniel Fire. We played softball together for years on the MFS team and shared countless stories of our time at MFS. We both worked at Janus Fire together as well, and he was always there, ready to work with his side smirk and a laughing mumble. We kept in contact via Facebook through is pup adventures and work trips the last few years.  Sending my deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and the pups that will surely miss him.

Michael was an awesome human being! Nancy & I took him & Mark to a Boy George concert when they were teenagers & we still talked about it ! I also picked him up when he was a baby & knocked a ceiling tile out in the apartment they lived in in Miller! Never forgot that! I will miss his chicken noodle soup! One of the best I ever had!  He was just a great guy with a great heart & I will also miss his hug every time I saw him!!!
Mike and I met October 1996 when I started working at MFS. We were paired up to do ComEd substation L/P CO2 inspections the first time through. On the job site we were like family keeping each other safe and keeping ourselves laughing. He was my colleague and my friend. Most recently I had the honor of working with him at JFS. He was our top CO2 person. He will be sorely missed. I would like to send my deepest sympathies to his family, his canine family members and his close friends too.
I am so sad to hear of Mike’s passing. We were very good friends as kids in elementary school, and I still remember playing together as recess so many years ago.  My sincere condolences to his family. ♥️

Mike was always a great friend and such a kind soul. We are so sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

I’ll always remember Mike as a great dude and open minded and kind person. I was looking forward to one day hiking out in Washington state with him. Bummer we won’t get to do that. So sorry to all of his family for your loss. Love you all.
