My family went to Myrtle Beach just about every summer, and when I was little my dad and I would walk to the campground store and get cinnamon twist donuts, sit at a picnic table, and visit with the squirrels. He loved jumping waves, and my sister and I carry on the tradition of jumping waves when we go to the beach...making sure we get knocked over once!
When I was little, I would ask my pap pap what happened to his hair. He would tell me that he gave it to me. For many years, I believed I stole his hair.
My sadness to know of Mike’s death. My condolences to dear Peg and children and grandchildren with love and support during this difficult time. Have only wonderful memories of Mike from our earliest years will never forget him. My thoughts are for the family each day. Kathy ONeill
I remember when I was little sitting on my dad's lap with my head by his heart, hearing his heartbeat and his deep voice when he spoke. He loved music and would play his records and he would spin me around in our living room. I had on my nightgown and felt like a princess. I remember him bring home candy for me on Valentine's Day. My dad loved the movies and he took me to so many movies. Then when I had my own children, he would accompany us to all the Disney movies. As an adult, if we were shopping and he saw us or his grandchildren looking at something, he would ask if he could buy it for us. He told the nurses during his last days how proud he was of my sister and I, and his grandchildren. I miss his hugs. He would give tight hugs.
