Michael's obituary
Michael is survived by his wife Laura Bergman; his children Jesse, Emily, Erik; his brother, Kevin Bergman; his sister, Kristin Scholer. He is predeceased by his grandmother Kathleen Linscheid; and his grandfather, Caius Bergman.
Michael was born in Bridgeport on July 20, 1971 to Amelia-Rose Bergman and Gabriel Bergman. He graduated from the University of New York in 1996 with a Masters in Psychology and worked in several different offices. On June 9, 1991 he married Laura, a studying law student and his highschool sweetheart. On September 5, 1995 and May 18, 1995 respectively, he welcomed his two sons. October 9, 2003 he welcomed his beautiful daughter. His children were the most important part of his life.
Michael was a devoted father and an advid writer. He enjoyed hiking and educating in parapsychology, traveled to 33 countries, and was an advocate for children's rights. He often played at local coffee shops and was known as a skilled musician among his avid listeners. He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He was a spiritual man and involved in many community activities, including after-school services. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Any funeral service will be sent individually by close family and friends as Michael was a public figure. The family would like this to be a private service. Flowers, donations and condolences are being accepted by the family.
