It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden passing of Michael Charles Beniusis, who died in a motorcycle accident on Thursday afternoon,  April 9th, 2026

Michael had recently retired after nearly 40 years of teaching English as a Second Language, on the South Shore of Montreal. A lifelong traveler, he loved good food and wine, and was known above all for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was an avid skier and also made a steady habit of going to the gym with his son Andrius. Michael was looking forward to celebrating with Aleksa, the joyful occasion of her upcoming marriage this summer.

Michael is survived by his beloved children, Andrius and Aleksa; his devoted partner, Julie; his caring mother, Micheline; and his sisters, Danutė and Anita.

Thank you for keeping Michael—and all of us—in your thoughts, and for any memories of him you may wish to share.
