Michael's obituary
Our family is deeply saddened to announce the death of Michael Beauford Baysinger.
He left us on March 25th, 2023, near Biggs Junction, Oregon. He died helping a friend in need and will always be our hero.
Michael was born on September 29, 1953, to Beauford (Boots) and Lorraine Baysinger in Coos Bay, Oregon. After moving around a few times early in life, he attended Sunnyside High School, Class of ’72.
Michael worked in agriculture for Valmont Industries for many years of his life, working as a mechanic and electrician on irrigation Center-Pivots. It was a job he really enjoyed and took pride in and often shared his knowledge of farming and equipment with his family. This career offered him the opportunity to work from and live in such towns as Boardman, Oregon; Blackfoot, Idaho; and Pasco, WA. He thought he would retire after finishing his career here, but later decided to take a part time position at Home Depot in Kennewick, WA. He loved his position and fellow employees, often talking about how happy he was to work in such a positive atmosphere for such a great company.
Michael was a force of nature who lived his life to the fullest. He is often remembered as a flirt and was known for his boisterous laugh, sense of humor, passionate talks on politics, and giant smile that could light up the room. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Michael often bragged about his children and grandchildren. He loved to watch his grandchildren play sports. He would cook big dinners and host elaborate family get-togethers with barbecues and swimming, something we cherish and will truly miss. Michael was a passionate fisherman and could often be found on his boat in his pastime.
Michael was predeceased by his parents Beauford “Boots” and Lorraine Baysinger.
He is survived by his children and grandchildren Nathan (Austin), Seth (Bret and Cayden), Rachel and Hayden (Bentley and Margaux), Mike (Micaiah and Landen), Gunner (Hunter and Archer), and Gage. He also leaves behind his siblings (Sherryn, Theresa, Tricia, Mark, Rodger, Theresa), numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, and his kitty, Kellycat.
A celebration of life in Michael’s honor will be held at the Uptown Theater on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 2:00 pm. We request all of Michael’s loved ones to join us for a day of remembrance with a service that will be followed by food, drinks, music, karaoke, and dancing as Michael had requested.
We will truly miss you Mike, but we know you're now free and home in the comfort of the Lord, where your troubles and your worries have left you. May your spirit shine down on us daily and comfort us with your love and protection, guiding us every day until we meet again!
We will love and miss you more than you will ever know
