Michael Barth, born July 27, 1976, in LaGrange, IL, died May 7, 2024 in Schaumburg, IL. Michael was the son of Dian and David Barth, the brother of David Barth and John Barth, brother-in-law to Lisa Kays and Courtney Kealhofer, and uncle to Stella, David, and Lucas Barth. Mike grew up in Winnetka, IL where he attended Greeley School, Carleton Washburne School, and New Trier High School. He was active in Boy Scout Troop 20 of Winnetka, particularly enjoying the outdoors/camping activities. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout and nickname "Mr. Christmas Tree" for his long hours of work at the Troop's Christmas Tree lot. He continued his participation in the Troop for years. He enjoyed his own business in Winnetka, mowing lawns, caring for pets, taking in mail and checking vacant homes due to vacations. He was proud of his success and helping others. He continued his education at Oakton Community College and graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Forestry, a commendable task due to his learning disabilities and the health issues with which he had to deal. He was a kind, caring person who will be missed by those who knew him.
