It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Michael Rodgers, who departed this world on August 11, 2023. He was born on June 29, 1961, to the late Charles and Helen Rodgers. A kind-hearted, loving man, Michael’s warm personality and radiant smile will live on in our memories.

Michael leaves behind his daughters, Caitline Howe, and his son, Brandon Simmet, who will remember their father's unconditional love and guidance. He is also survived by his sister, Connie Rhoads, who will miss her brother's resilience and strength.

Michael cherished the moments he spent with his grandchildren, Archie Simmet and Lillian Howe. The joy they brought to his life was immeasurable, and their grandfather’s legacy will live on through them. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Rodgers, as well as his brothers, Charles, Kirk, and Brad Rodgers.

Michael had a deep love for the beach and could often be found there, soaking up the sun and spending quality time with his loved ones. His friends and family will miss his adventurous spirit and the bond they shared over his favorite pastime.

Music was another of Michael's passions. Making music with friends and family was something close to his heart. He was a firm believer in the power and beauty of music to bring people together, to brighten up lives, and to create lasting memories.

Among his many achievements, being a father and a grandfather were the roles that gave him the most pleasure. His undying commitment to his family, his loving nature and his infectious laughter will forever remain in our hearts.

In tribute to Michael, let us remember him as he was: warm, big-hearted, and kind. This world was a better place for having him in it, and his absence will be felt by all who were lucky enough to know him.
