Micah's obituary
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Micah Hills, who was born on July 25, 1970, and departed from this life on June 29, 2025. Micah, a man of warmth, humor, and extraordinary talent, is survived his father Stephen Hills, his mother Bonnie Hills, by his sister Wendy Hills, and his cherished sons, Devin Hills and Stephen Hills. His joyful spirit and enduring legacy are also carried forward by countless individuals wh ose lives were touched by his kindness.
Micah's favourite foods were testament to his adventurous spirit and his love for cooking. Known to many as a complete 'foodie', he took pleasure in grilling and smoking meats, and savouring the diverse flavors of the culinary world. A simple man at heart, Micah's favorite drinks were coffee and sparkling water - simple pleasures that reflected his grounded personality.
With a knack for woodworking and a passion for RC vehicles, Micah was never one to sit idle. His hands were always at work, transforming ordinary pieces of wood into beautiful works of art or building and navigating the controls of his RC vehicles.
Micah's life was a reflection of his personality – always funny, always present. Even in moments of personal hardship, he worked hard to bring laughter and light into the lives of others. His greatest accomplishment, however, was his successful career as a Maintenance Engineer, where he exhibited an uncanny ability to fix anything that came his way.
The memorial for Micah will be held at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish on July 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM. This will be followed by a celebration of his life at the same location at 12:00 PM. Those who loved and knew Micah are welcome to join us in celebrating and remembering a man whose heart and world were truly dedicated to his loved ones.
Micah leaves behind a legacy of kindness, a pure heart, and an unyielding willingness to give. His world, and indeed his heart, belonged to his sons. Micah's memory will forever inspire us to live our lives with joy, generosity, and a love for making others smile.
