We met Miki when she & Art first moved to River House. We are dual citizens & we knew we needed to meet these “New Yorkers”. We invited them for a visit and from Miki’s entrance with a beautiful bouquet of flowers we bonded and became friends. We miss her vibrancy…her insightful comments and her laugh. Loss is difficult and we are so very sad about this tragic occurrence.
Our heartfelt thoughts are with the entire family.
To Art and the family, please accept my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your precious Miki. I was deeply shocked to hear of her passing. I met Miki when she and Art moved to Riverhouse, and we became friends. Many times we walked together on Saturday mornings on the Parkrun trails. I will miss her and the long conversations we had. Miki was a beautiful, vivacious, and highly intelligent woman.
Art and family, I knew Miki from the hiking group and enjoyed sitting beside her at the “Table Talk” dinner in September. What a lovely woman! May you find the strength to get through each day without Miki.
Art and family, I am so very sorry for your enormous loss. I got to know Miki thru our hiking group, where she quickly became a much loved member. I am really going to miss her. I can't imagine your pain.
I met Miki through the Newcomers Group. She was instantly loved by the group for her zest for life and positive energy. A true inspiration. She is missed.
Our heartfelt sympathy to you Art and all of the family. We found out last night of her passing and are deeply saddened too; it is so hard to believe. As we journey in Europe we have talked about her as we approached Milan and Lake Como especially (her favorite places) and her stories. She so wished she could join us here. We did not know but she was with us in spirit! We celebrated her at dinner last night as we talked about the many conversations and gatherings we had in the past year.
I (Vee) will miss her, our walks and our plans to make sourdough bread and take a pottery class. Miki just agreed to share the role of hosting a group dinner for couples with me. She will be truly missed. Keep in touch Art.
Matt brought Miki & Art into our lives when he & our daughter, Mary Beth were engaged. Miki brought so many stories about her life, her interests, her beliefs & opinions. She loved Matt, Angel & Mary Beth unconditionally. She showered them with adventures, experiences & gifts. This beautiful, vivacious woman was taken from us all much too soon. Miki will be missed so very much.
Since we are still traveling abroad Dave and I just received the tragic news of Miki’s passing. I can’t believe she is gone. We are brokenhearted. To know Miki was to love her. She was so vibrant and full of life! She brought so much laughter to our Newcomers Monday morning walks and our gourmet dinner parties with all of the stories she would share! The loss you all are feeling right now must be unbearable. Know that we are thinking of you and praying for strength to help you through your day and the days to come. Hugs and much love to you Art and your family. Dave and Sherri
We were shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic car accident that took Micaela’s life last week. It cuts close to home because we knew her as an enthusiastic walker at our weekly parkrun events, where she was a frequent participant and volunteer, as recently as 12 days ago. We send our condolences to Miki’s husband, family and other friends.
