Merry's obituary
Merry Julia Lehor, born October 22, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on March 4, 2026, in Florida, where she had lived for many years. She was 84 years old.
Merry was a strong and determined woman who successfully raised her three children on her own. She worked hard, put her family first, and built a life filled with resilience, love, and independence. Her strength and perseverance shaped the lives of those around her and left a lasting legacy in her family.
She is survived by her children Raymond G. Lehor (Melissa), Stephanie, and Scott Lehor (Amy). She was a proud grandmother to Brandon, Kyle, Kory, Ashley, Ryan, Taylor, Payton, and Sloan, and a great-grandmother to Jordyn.
Merry is also survived by her brother Teddy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick Foreman and Madeline Scott Foreman, and by her brothers Johnny, Ronnie, and Randy.
Born and raised in Chicago, Merry remained a loyal Chicago Cubs fan throughout her life. She loved traveling, trying new things, and embracing new experiences. She often spoke about how wonderful her life had been and was always grateful for the experiences and people who were part of it. She also cherished the many friendships she formed over the years and leaves behind many great friends and extended family who will miss her dearly.
Merry had a witty sense of humor, an infectious laugh, and a smile that could light up a room. She had an outstanding collection of Minion memorabilia and was a true connoisseur of apple fritters and grouper cheeks—though never together. She enjoyed memorizing restaurant menus and was known to become easily frustrated by the lack of family-size onion ring baskets at Culver’s. At age 60 she got her first tattoo, simply the word “HEY.” To understand why, she would tell you to listen to the song “Rapid Roy (The Stock Car Boy)” by Jim Croce.
Those who knew Merry will remember her strength, her adventurous spirit, her humor, and her love for family and friends.
She is now on the greatest adventure of her life. ❤️
