Merrill Glen Henry, born on October 2, 1965, in Texarkana, Arkansas, departed this life on April 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and adventure. He was 59 years old. Merrill was the cherished son of Sylvia and Winfred Henry, and his early years were filled with warmth and joy, particularly from the close-knit family that surrounded him.
Merrill was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sylvia Henry, his father, Winfred Henry, and his brother, Winfred Henry Jr. He is survived by his shining light, his son, Corey Henry. Merrill is also survived by his brothers, John and Michael Henry, and his sister, Donna Dollarhide, alongside a wide circle of family and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
From a young age, Merrill had a unique gift for making people laugh. His infectious sense of humor and playful spirit brought joy to all who knew him. He believed in the power of laughter to heal and connect people, often going out of his way to bring a smile to the faces of his loved ones.
A man of many passions, Merrill had a profound love for adventure. He cherished the moments spent camping with his family, where he created lasting memories under the stars, enjoying nature's beauty while sharing stories and laughter around the campfire. Additionally, Merrill’s love for trains was evident in his extensive collection, a hobby that brought him much joy and an outlet for his creativity.
Merrill’s most greatest accomplishment was and always will be his son Corey.
As we gather to celebrate the life of Merrill Glen Henry, we will reflect upon the adventures he embarked upon, the laughter he shared, and the love that defined his relationships. His funeral service will be held on May 24, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Eylau Church of Christ located at 3407 Gun Club Road.
In our hearts, Merrill will forever remain a source of light and joy, reminding us to embrace life’s moments, to laugh freely, and to love deeply. He has left an indelible mark on our lives, one that will continue to inspire us to find happiness in every day. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the memories we hold dear.
