Merle J. Bruce, 96, of Grayslake passed away peacefully at home Monday (March 20, 2023). She was beautifully woven and an intricately designed masterpiece, with incredible mental toughness and passion. We have been fortunate to call her Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother. There is not a single soul like hers; the tenacity, perseverance, resilience, and willingness to keep going despite obstacles have taught so many to never give up. Survived by her Son, Robert R. Bullis; 2 Grandsons; Robert Bullis (Nicole), Anthony Hale, 2 Granddaughters Cassandra Lemar (Bob), Maureen Bullis, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and many loving family and friends. Preceded by Andrew Bullis, her son James Bullis, and her daughter Susan Hale (Archie).
