Merle Jeannine Andis, 94 years old, passed on January 31, 2025. She lived a long, independent, healthy life with her epithet being "I Did It My Way" (Frank Sinatra).

She was born in Georgia, and prior to becoming a mother, she served in the US Air Force. She was an avid reader and loved all things plant wise. One or both of these traits were passed not only to several of her children, but her grandchildren as well.

She had 10 children in all and was preceded in death by 4 sons - Marcus, Duncan, Michael, and Frank Andis: and 1 daughter, Donne Hartsell. She is survived by sons Fred (Debbie) Andis and Damon (Natalie) Andis all of San Antonio, TX; and daughters Nina Williams of San Antonio, TX; Rene (David) Duncan of Georgia; and Nancilee (Juan) Ramirez of Mineola, TX. Additionally, she had a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She was loved and she will be missed.
