Mercedes Milagros Siegert-Chardin was such a beautiful, kind, fierce soul and devout Catholic . She passed away in the morning of October 12, in Euless, Texas, surrounded by her children and their families. In her own elegant way she transitioned gracefully leaving behind her daughter Mercedes Reyna and her husband Anthony Reyna, son Ricky Chardin and his wife Sarah Archer, grandchildren Mark Salazar, Brianna Reyna, Addison Reyna, Riley Chardin, Dylan Chardin, great granddaughter Emma Salazar, and siblings Elvira Siegert, Laura Siegert, Josefina Siegert, Lourdes Grossmann-Siegert and Jose Siegert.

She is preceded in death by her mother Mercedes Siegert, father Gustavo Siegert, and brother Carlos Siegert.

It has been painful to see her endure confusion and fear while losing her memories and it has been excruciating making difficult decisions regarding her care. Once we stopped fighting for the life she did not want, she was able to finally find peace. It was the greatest gift we could have given her. We are comforted in the fact that she is with our Lord and Savior whom she loved so much.

Her spirit will now live forever in our hearts as the strong but gracious woman we love.
