Menaka “Meena” Kumaran, born on September 2, 1948, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, in Coral Springs, Florida, at the age of 77.

Born outside the United States, Menaka made Florida her home beginning in 1980, where she built a career in sales. Throughout her life, she embraced her Hindu faith and sought to live with deep spirituality and compassion. Her devotion also reflected a broad and open heart and she occasionally attended other churches and community organizations, appreciating the many ways people express faith and fellowship.

Menaka had a love for crafting and found great joy in creating things with her hands. She was also a wonderful cook who delighted in sharing her food with family and friends, bringing people together around her table.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Anasuya Kumaran Buckel; her grandson, Jay; and her son-in-law, Brendan. Her family cherishes the memories they shared with her and the love she brought into their lives.

In keeping with Hindu tradition, Menaka’s ashes will be scattered at sea by her daughter and son in law. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who knew and loved her.
