Sou's obituary
Meme, a most loving and caring mother, wife, daughter, sister, cousin, friend…died so unexpectedly and undeservedly on the afternoon of Wednesday January tenth. She would be 44 in one month, but I know she would prefer going by 43. (She was so young at heart and beautiful she could be mistaken for her thirties!) Her cause of death is currently unknown.
Meme was born on February 23, 1980 to two devoted and hard working parents that love her and have eternally watched over her, Homer and Yue Zhang. She is survived by her parents, a loving brother, and so many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunties, and uncles that all love her.
Meme brought two of the most wonderful children into this world. They are a wonderful mix of her loving kindness and the spice she could have. May gave her heart and life to a hubby that will forever miss her. She made him a better person from the first day they met. Showing him that kindness is the way. I miss you May.
While Meme could cook well enough you’d expect her to be a chef at a restaurant, she wasn’t. She was a very outgoing person and loved being a sign language interpreter. She met and touched the lives of so many people this way.
If you know Meme well, you know how selfless and kind she could be. Always thinking of other people first. She was a workaholic that made time for her husband and two boys while still keeping in touch with those she cared about. She managed to somehow plan for the boys years in advanced, organize and help the kids with current theater and dance classes, volunteer for bunny adoptions, and still come home and make dinner a few times a week and watch a couple of her favorite t.v. shows with her hubby.
You are so dearly missed my love. Our lives are the better for having had you in them, and so much more empty now that you’re gone. I love you.
