It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melody Lee Robinson (Westlake), who left us on August 28, 2020, at her home in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by her loving children. Born on May 30, 1956, in Culver City, Los Angeles, California, to Dean Stanley Westlake and Shirley Jean Westlake, Melody was a beloved mother, Nana, sister, and friend who shared her kindness, strength, and love with everyone she met.
Melody had a zest for life that was truly inspiring. She loved adventure and embraced every opportunity to create cherished memories. From thrilling roller coaster rides to relaxing pool days, cruises, and trips to Hawaii, Melody’s joyful spirit and love for exploration touched the hearts of her family and friends.
For over 20 years, Melody worked as a dedicated waitress in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she brightened the lives of countless guests at MGM Grand, Imperial Palace, and Harrah’s Hotel and Casino. Her warm smile and tireless work ethic left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered during her career.
She is survived by her sons Chris and James Robinson, daughters Stephanie Robinson, Amanda Rogers (Robinson), and Ashlee Robinson. Melody was also a proud and loving Nana to her cherished grandchildren: CJ (Christopher James) Robinson, William “Alex”ander Robinson, Joshua “Tyler” Cowart, Collin Matthew Rogers, Christina Jean Robinson, Mackenzie Lee Brown, Kaylee Jean Bourell, Brayden Parker Partain, Wyatt James Partain, Layla Grace Partain, and Michael Wayne Dzierzanski. She is also survived by her two brothers, Kenneth Stanley Westlake and James Edward Westlake.
Melody was laid to rest along with her father at the Fort Sam Houston Veteran Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. She now joins both her parents, Dean Stanley Westlake and Shirley Jean Westlake, in eternal peace.
Her family and all who knew her will forever remember her warmth, compassion, and the deep love she shared. Melody’s memory will continue to inspire those fortunate to have been a part of her life.
