Melody's obituary

Melody Ann Bradbury Miller was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma. As a grandma, she was a little bit parent, a little bit teacher, and a little bit best friend. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went. She was smart, hard-working, and talented. Our mom was always there for us, teaching us, listening to us, helping and loving us, forgiving us, and always paving the way for us. We know Mom is at peace now with the Lord and surrounded by those loved ones who left before her.
We take comfort knowing we will all reunite one day, and she is still watching over us.

A mother is one who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.

Melody had a huge heart and was very giving and caring. She was always there to talk or just listen, and although we were not as close as either of us wished, we both knew where our hearts were. It was very difficult watching her go through so much pain in the last years of her life but, it's comforting knowing she is finally at peace and home with the Lord. I will always love you, Mom.– Travis Miller

My mom gave so much and asked for so little in return. She has always been there for me, teaching me, listening to me, helping and forgiving me, loving me, and always, always paving the way for me. There is nothing as powerful as mother’s love, and nothing as healing as a child’s soul. Acceptance, tolerance, bravery, compassion — these are the things my mom taught me. Mom, I want you to know that when I look at your life I see something beautiful; I love you. – Tia Perng

Mom, thank you for fostering me and loving me when I was barely even old enough to hold my head up. Thank you for adopting me; you gave me a roof to laugh, run, cry, and sleep under. You gave me a hand to hold and a shoulder to lean on. Mom, you gave me structure with understanding that allowed me to grow up to be the person I was always meant to be. You taught me thatI am a gift from God, just as all children are. And I now know I am a precious gift from God. I will love you, Mom, forever and always. – April Miller
