Melodese (Hembree) Rhine, age 88, of Bailey, Texas, passed away on February 23, 2026, in Sherman, Texas. She was born on February 3, 1938, in Gober, Texas, to R.A Hembree and Mamie Lou (Rogers) Hembree.

On September 18, 1954, she married Don Rhine, who preceded her in death on February 17, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Lou Ann Rhine.

Melodese is survived by her two daughters, Toni Lowry of Bailey, and Donna Craft and her husband Leslie, of Sherman. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer Lowry of Arp; Charles Lowry and his wife Lindsey of Bailey; Brandon Craft and his wife Hollie of Flint; and Samantha Chambers of Melissa. She is lovingly remembered by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kameron Rogers, Owen Rogers, Dylan Johnson, J. R. Stephens, Britt Moody, and Dakota Lowry. Honorary pallbearers were Matthew Chambers, Jordan Craft, Mason Rogers, and Cody Johnson.

Services were held at First Baptist Church in Bailey, Texas and burial took place at Philadelphia Cemetery.
