Melissa's obituary
Melissa Rose Turner, age 44, of Danville, Kentucky, passed away on January 23, 2026.
Melissa was born on November 9, 1982, in Lexington, Kentucky, the beloved daughter of Rebecca “Becky” Winchester and Lawrence Tillett. She lived her life with a heart full of love, faith, and devotion to her family.
Melissa’s greatest joy was her family. She deeply loved God, cherished her children and grandchildren, and poured her whole heart into those she loved. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched everyone who knew her. Butterflies and the color purple were among her favorite things, gentle reflections of her beautiful spirit.
She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Kayla (JJ) Wall, and Alexis (Michael) Turner; her grandchildren, Brailyn, Rylan, Brinleigh, Emerson, Jordan, Ethan, Selena, Christina, and Elijah; her sister, Cherish Heather Long; her uncle Mike (Tabitha) Winchester.
Melissa was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Winchester; her father, Lawrence Tillett; her grandparents, John and Betty Winchester; and her grandmother, Laurabell Tillett.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 4th at Southland Christian Church, located at 5001 Harrodsburg Road in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with services beginning at 2:00 PM. Following the service, Melissa will take her final ride to Maple Grove Cemetery in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
Melissa will be forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered for her compassionate heart and the boundless love she gave so freely.
