Melissa's obituary

Melissa  Mesa passed away surrounded by family on June 26th 2024 after battling cancer.

She is survived by her loving husband Sal Mesa, daughters Samantha and Katelyn Gross, bonus kids Christian and Nicholas Mesa. Her parents Garry and Susan Hasty. Her sisters Kathi (Bill) Lanoue and Allison (Jeff) Neveau. As well as her nieces and nephews Jeremy (Maria) Luján,Kayla (Doug) Lanoue, Brandon Lanoue, Cameron (Gracie)Pendell, Gavin Pendell and Charlotte Pendell. As well as great nephew Ciro Luján García.

Melissa was born on March 4th 1976 in Paradise,CA to Garry and Susan Hasty. Growing up Melissa was always a funny and spirited kid.  Her and her younger sister got into a bit of trouble together and they didn’t always get along…unless it was to torment the baby of the family. She always had friends and as she got older she loved to push her parents limits…a lot. When she had her girls they were her whole world. Everything she did was always in the best interest of them, even if they didn’t know it at the time. She would work as a teacher during the day and wait tables on the weekend just to make ends meet.  She met and married Sal and gained 2 more kids, Christian and Nicholas. She had a huge heart and always saw the world through rose colored glasses.  The only thing she wanted was more time, to see her family and make sure they knew that she loved them.
