Melissa's obituary

Melissa Ann Freyling was born November 06, 1952 to Floyd and Ann Mason in Ft.Worth  Texas , in high school she was on the gymnastics team , after graduating she attended Texas A and M university’ . She worked for a large insurance firm in Ft. Worth and Dallas . In 1980 she moved to Alaska and worked for the teamsters union in Anchorage, she met  her future husband Dave and they spent years together and married in 1988 in Kissimmee Florida .Melissa attended the University of Alaska , .She and family moved to Eagle River Alaska in 1988 , Melissa started Honey Bee Designs making porcelain dolls while they lived in Eagle River ,you could see the love and perfection in each and every doll she made ,she sold her dolls all over Alaska and the lower 48 states.. Melissa loved to read and was an avid reader she read enough books to fill a library. Melissa loved fishing and camping , and would spend some of the Alaska winter months at Fort Wilderness campground at Disney World , she loved to visit Epcot center and seeing the candlelight processional show . In 1990 Melissa and family moved to Wasilla Alaska and together they would  build their home there , Melissa loved her children and her husband and her family more than anything else in life . Melissa would spend the rest of her life living in the home they all built together and on July 19 2023 she would  pass away peacefully in the home they built together .

Melissa leaves behind her husband Dave , 3 children  Bill Freyling ( Mary ) Sara Gawf (Jeremy ) David E.Freyling , 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild 

Melissa is preceded in death by her grandparents Rim and Ruth , parents Floyd and Ann , daughter Carrie , sister Kimberly and husband Charles 

Melissa will be forever loved and held deep in our hearts, she was the most lovable and courteous person we have ever known ,,,, Her Family  ,,,,,   I dedicate this song to the memory of my loving wife Melissa ,,,,,  Vaya con Dios  ( by Freddy Fender ).       The long goodbye has come to a close … but never forgotten.      The Freyling Family
