So grateful for the time we shared on this side of heaven. Your warm hugs whenever you saw me was your signature greeting...every time! The world got richer by your presence and that richness will still live on.. That's the beauty that people like Missie pass on to others. There's no way to erase that. Thankful always for what you left behind. Flo Burrey

Missie and I planned many job related events together. From team meetings, picnics and fundraisers I learned how to go the extra mile from Missie. It was important to decorate and feed people which lead us to make shopping trips to Costco, accompanied by her grandson Conner to do the heavy lifting. Best kid ever. Before leaving we would indulge in a hotdog and coke. During our last trip she insisted that I get my own Costco membership and I did. Missie will be fondly remembered by so many people and for so many things...like homemade cinnabuns on Xmas morning and that lemon cake! Always in our hearts...you rest now sweety.
Definitely am going to miss all the smiles, compliments, encouraging words, and the hugs from Missie!

As youngsters Missie and I would play rock school when I visited my grandmother who lived next door. I also remember how she convinced me to join her princess house team even though I lived 70 miles away 😀. Always enjoyed visiting and reminiscing on Easters at her sister Annette’s house. Missie will be missed for sure!
I know people always say to know a person is to love them. But for Missie this was so very true. From the moment she hugs you, you felt the love in that embrace and I will be forever thankful that I was blessed with sharing some special embraces with this lady that I adoringly called “Mom”. She’s a special lady and her Legacy of Love will live on.
Well my friend, you caught us all off guard. My heart is heavy and I don’t have the words at the moment. I read something not long ago and would like to share it.
When I Am Gone
“Why do you weep? I do not see why.
My pain is gone; I so not cry.
I’ve found my peace, my tears have dried;
Your pain will heal as time goes by.
I am not gone, I hope you’ll find
May I be a thought to make you smile.
Life is too short to cry for mine;
Go now, live yours e’er you, too, die.”
Missie, you will always be in my heart and thoughts.
Love you my friend.

Missie was my best friend for the last 53 years. My heart is broken. I miss her every day. 💖Karen
