Melissa was such a positive and easy going colleague of mine at UCSF. During a time when I was a new manager and we had multiple patient safety events happening, she made what a stressful/scary time more calm and comforting. She is so understanding of others and caring- her heart is always in the right place. I was so sad when I learned of her passing. She has the most beautiful energy and soul and I am sending so much love to her friends and family and all those who were in her life.

Melissa was my colleague at both CPMC and UCSF. She was so committed to her work, our patients and was a true partner in keeping patients safe. More than that, she was a friend and someone I always looked forward to seeing. I will miss her beautiful smile and warm spirit as I’m sure so many others will.

To Naomi, Michael and the entire Suarez family…my heart goes out to you. Hold one another close and celebrate all that she brought to your lives.

Sending my deepest condolences to Naomi, Michael and family. Melissa was a ray of sunshine and very special to all that she knew. Sending Aloha to her family♥️

Melissa❤️

What an amazing thoughtful, generous, lovely, beautiful lady she was.

I met her for the first time during Naomi and JT’s jr prom. That evening our frequent texts started. We shared a lot about our kiddos.  She welcomed JT with open arms, and was always full of love and support.  She made sure that she was there for him during his sport events, rain or shine.  She treated him like her own son.

Thank you Melissa and we are grateful for all you’ve done and the pure love and grace.

We will miss you so much.

Sad.. so sad.. I can remember her at CPMC like it was yesterday.  Trips down to LA with her husband and others from work…  So well respected amongst her peers.. Such a proud momma and wife.. my condolences to her family…  gone way too soon..🙏🙏🙏
