My heart aches hearing this news. My mom told me the other day and I sat down and cried. Melissa was a beacon of love, light and life! The kindest soul I had the pleasure of knowing! Sending all the love from the Matos-Dodson family!

Joe and I are so sorry to hear of this sad news. You have our deepest condolences. Prayers of comfort and the peace of God go out to Michael, Naomi  and the family during this time of great loss. Precious  memories of Melissa will continue to live on in our hearts forever until we meet again.  Luv u guys. 💕God bless.🙏

I met Melissa in nursing school at SFSU. I remember connecting with her because of her sense of humor, her kindness and her zest for life. We went to a Prince concert together- one of the best shows ever…and I’m so happy to have shared that with her. We ended up going to Europe together in college where she met Michael and all I keep thinking about is all the fun we had those few weeks along with Norma and Wendy. I’m so grateful to have had her in my life during that period of time. She really helped make our college experience what is was. My heart hurts hearing this news. My deepest condolences to the whole family.

I had the privilege to work with Melissa at CPMC. It seems like yesterday I would see her brilliant smile in the hall or at meetings, laughing one minute and laser-focused on her work the next. There was a warmth to her that was so welcoming. I remember her as kind, compassionate, professional and exactly the type of nurse that every patient deserves. I extend my deepest sympathy to her family.
Sending our love and deepest condolences. We enjoyed getting to know your family through our basketball community last year - had so much fun @the crab feed and throughout the basketball season❤️. Melissa will be remembered in so many beautiful and positive ways. We are praying for your family.
To the family - I want to express my deepest sympathy. I am praying for you all healing, and comfort at this difficult time. I hope you feel the love that surrounds you, and the love I send today and always.
My deepest condolences to the Carassus & Suarez family.  I valued Melissa's friendship throughout the years.  I remember the first time I met her, first day of nursing school.  We sat next to each other that first day and then every day afterwards.  I have many special memories with her that I will always  treasure, from school, to trips, to working together as new nurses.  She was such an amazing person and will be greatly missed.
I was deeply saddened to hear about Melissa’s passing. Words seem so small in the face of such a great loss. I hope you all can find some comfort in knowing that she is resting in the loving arms of God. Your family is in my prayers.
This is such sad news. Melissa was a wonderful person. I worked with her at both CPMC and UCSF.  She was such a kind nurse, who gave so much of herself to patients and her colleagues. She will be greatly missed by so many. Condolences to Michael, Naomi and her wonderful family who she loved so dearly.
